Ebay item 7/31/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-Roadster-/121717998333
Opening bid US $79,000.00
Reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $85,000. 84k miles.

Sellers description:
Professionally Restored in 1996. Very Little metal patching of frame or body was required. Garage kept and only sparingly driven since restoration. This car has been known for many years as "Moby Jag- The Great White Whale: All numbers match and was AAG verified and appraised for $90,000 - $100,000. AAG appraisal can be provided on request. JDHT Heritage certificate. Same Texas owner since 1971. Old English white exterior with red leather interior with never used new black top and side curtains. Red painted dis rims with 4" wide white wall tires, rear fender skirts, and tribar headlamps. Never rained on since restoration. Since recent AAG appraisal, the engine has been sorted through to include updating with aftermarket rear seal kit and replacing early 1952 factory XK 120 water pump with same year updated factory water pump which also has a correct factory flexible fan. (For better slow speed). New dual 6 volt no maintenance batteries.

Exceptional quality driver condition car. Looks great, drives better with absolutely no leaks (even at rear seal). Quality driver plus condition car that could be brought up to top condition show car with minor revisions to include; remove the radio antenna, repairs two minor paint issue spots, repair two gauges, and update some chrome parts from the older restoration. This car presents well in a J Gatsby sort of way.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
