The car that illustrates these pages has a 1949 registration, but its serial number suggests that it is more likely to be an example that left the factory in the fall of 1951.

This is a steel-bodied version, with its original Moss engine, gearbox and ENV axle. Its steel rims and its spats, like its black dress and its cream interior give it a proud look, reinforced by this inimitable patina, witness of a driving car. Its owner bought it in 1998: a great Jaguar enthusiast and prominent member of the brand's French club, he wanted to own a classic Jaguar in each of the displacements of the XK engine, this 120 ticking the "3.4 engine" box. I ". Since 1998, our enthusiast, great driver and user of his cars, has traveled thousands of kilometers at the wheel of this 120, giving it the benefit of regular and attentive care, and minor improvements which greatly contribute to the pleasure of driving this iconic Jaguar. . Note the fitting of an electric fan and an expansion tank to overcome any heating problems, the purchase of a new lead-free cylinder head or the welcome addition of a steering damper. “Little extras” that make this XK 120 one of the most pleasant we have ever driven.

Our example was, like the vast majority of the production, sold new in the United States by the importer Max Hoffman, here in the most elegant color combination: black on red and biscuit interior. Crucial information, the Jaguar Heritage certificate also confirms that the Moss engine and gearbox are indeed the original ones.

In the mid-1990s, a major French collector acquired this sumptuous English car. He will only part with it in 2021, after having driven several thousand kilometers behind the wheel, offering a few welcome improvements to this model: additional fan, unleaded cylinder head, steering damper, etc. Fans of the genre, XK 120 OTSs this beautiful are rare, don't miss the opportunity to drive one of the most legendary 6-cylinders of all!
