Car offered at:
www.winspeedmotorsport.com
Previously listed for sale at Twyford Motors in 2010.
Sellers description:
Finished in British Racing Green with Suede Green trim, this early, spatted, example of the sought-after Jaguar XK120 Roadster, sits on disc wheels and exudes elegance and charm. Originally supplied in Left Hand Drive form to Hoffmans of New York in May 1952 it was repatriated to UK in 1989, whereupon it underwent a body-off renovation. Photographic evidence shows that the car had, however, been an extremely straight and very sound example. This is a prime feature that exists to this day.
Maintained and improved by WinSpeed since 2011, this delightful early example possesses its original, matching numbers, engine complete with distinctive 'studless' cam covers. Upgraded to 5-speed Getrag gearbox, for long-distance touring, the car comes complete with full weather equipment.
On the road she is stable, thanks to WinSpeed's upgraded Steering box, and pleasantly quick and fully overhauled drum brakes.
