A gap in my knowledge - Why so few ?
It seems after this splendidly detailed car only 4 more of this model were built in the next 5 months Dec to April 1951. Does anybody know why. Perhaps the introduction of the Fixed Head but hardly likely as only a maximum of 5 FHC cars were built in the same period.

I have 671094 (possibly 671093 - TBD) and I'm curious: based on SN# info it appears as though only 11 XKs were built between Dec and April 1951...why?

Marc: Why not invest in a Heritage Certificate to resolve your car identity neither of which are known here. Also Anders Clausager could probably answer your manufacturing question as well

In the excellent Porter & Skilleter book on Sir William Lyons, there are details of a strike in early 1951 which was 'one of the most serious and long lasting ever seen at Jaguar'. Surely the reason for the drastic drop in production?
