This car is listed in "Jaguar Driver" magazine October 1980 as being owned by J BOYCE of Middlesex. Registration number 120 XKT, colour black. Imported to England in1952 and bought in 1968 for £70!!

Car originally delivered to Delacroix Distributors in Paris, first owner being Cornell W. Acheson. I bought the car on 25-06-68, for £70. Shortly after, a chum bought HBC 226 for £50 but conked out on the rebuild when he discovered a most impressive squirrel-cache of nuts in the airbox. I bought it from him, pinched the bumpers, grille, and other sundries that my car lacked, selling it on for £35. About 20 years later I discovered it was ex-Salvadori. Bother.

Should have added that I fitted a three-carb 3.8 engine from a Mark 10, with an all-synchro box with overdrive. Rack & pinion steering from an XK140. And a limited slip diff (3.31), XK150 discs, rear Konis, and so on. Idea was to make a sort of 3.8 XK150S but to keep the original XK120 roadster appearance.
Alas, in 1991 landed my self in a house or car scenario and one of them had to go - no contest of course.

Here is the URL for the LPA ! It shows the old girl in 1967 in a South London side street. Shortly before I bought it in ‘68 for £70, it changed hands for £15.
