Ebay item 1/12/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-120-Jaguar-1950-XK120-Roadster-/191479617814
Opening bid US $1,950 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $68,500. 39k miles.

Sellers description:
This is an early XK120 open two seater that was built on the 25th of April, 1950 and it is less than 50 cars from the left hand drive alloy XK120 cars. The commission plate matches the Jaguar Heritage Certificate we have in hand. The car was dispatched from the factory with a Birch Grey exterior and the leather interior was Biscuit and Red. Many early features can be found on this car, they include the chrome soft top frame, the smooth cam covers, the high top carburetors and the very early XK120 rear end. The body on this XK is very dry and the previous owner had new inner sills and floors installed. Where the battery box is located is in very good condition as well. The car is pretty much complete and comes with a box with some small bits in it. As shown in the photos the car is going to need total restoration. It does steer and roll so it can be transported.

From the pictures it looks like both front wings have vents, either the chassis number is wrong or the front clip was replaced at some point in the past.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
