Further to the above reference this car is mentioned in Jaguar Driver magazine February 1991 in a letter from the owner, David E Pritchard of Winnipeg, Canada, stating that it was delivered to Winnipeg in April 1950. It was being restored with the paint colour being original blue with blue two-tone interior.

Hello, nice car. I am 100% certain that in 1949-1951 the only "Pastel Blue" available at the Foleshill plant in Coventry was a metallic Zofelac paint, also called "Pastel Blue Metallic". This also applied to "Pastel Green" both of which turned non-metallic in 1952, or when the new synthetic paint system was taken into use at Browns Lane. You can easily find references for these via www.Jag-lovers.org and the original brochures showing the "Pastel Blue" with "Light Blue & Dark Blue" two-tone interior only found on the OTS models and pictures of an original "colour wheel" paint samples that have been scanned and matched at the autocolorlibrary. Good luck with your restoration, cheers!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
