The original engine for this car (670021) is W1052-8 and is still located in western Canada. The engine has been in dry storage since the early 1970s.

    2013-09-14 16:46:43 | Tom Zwakman writes:

Just to clear above comment, it's correct that the engine been before in Canada but already years ago bought by me and now with me in the Netherlands with the car and so again a full matching number car.

    2014-01-06 10:07:06 | pauls writes:

This car is certainly not a full matching numbers car. I still have the original engine. The above engine has obviously been restamped

    2014-01-06 10:55:26 | Tom Zwakman writes:

Mr Pauls is writing regular untruth nonsense at XK data and again here above.
The original engine was bought by me of Mr David Quirt of Canada in Dec 2010 and arrived here early 2011.
The purchase is fully documented as the original ownership by Mr Quirt.
The engine is screened and numbers are fully authentic.
Mr Pauls is clearly a fool and certainly never owned this engine and if he don't agree he is welcome to proof different.

please note the "pauls" that posted the first three comments (me) in 2006 did NOT post today's comment.

Re above message, well how strange is this ? do I need to say more ?

    2014-02-06 13:06:19 | stuart ward writes:

Strange there is only a few minutes between Paul's last comment then Zwankman's response. Could it be it's the same person desperately trying justify his car??

    2014-02-06 13:17:19 | t.zwakman writes:

Re above comment, if somebody ad something ad XK data the owner does get straightaway a message from XK data and so can response quickly.
But interestingly if you look at the message of the last Pauls above and the date and time you can ask yourself the question why he was able to response so quickly as he will not get a message of XK data and claims he wasn't the Pauls what says has the engine.
So it seems the other way round.
Also interesting is that Stuard Ward did added this message jus a couple of minutes after a Mr Roy did added a reaction to one of my other cars #660001 so all seems to be a silly complot of one person to my cars.
    Also 670021 don't need any justifying ??
My regards to all real enthusiasts.

Best regards to all real Jaguar enthusiasts.

My name is clear for everyone to see. So are you seriously denying you have restamped the engine?

    2014-02-15 19:48:13 | terry mcgrath writes:

    OK the actual story is:
When this XK120 left Nth America and went to the UK it obviously had the wrong motor in it. I do not what jaguar it came from so up to a certain point and maybe still currently this car has the incorrect engine in it.
The original engine W1052=8 that is block number 133 and head number 96 and this included sump, distributor, and coil but no gearbox finished up in the middle of Western Canada and was offered to Europe for sale but no deal was done.
I offered to purchase the motor in Dec 2009/Jan 2010 but the vendor gave the owner of the car another chance to buy the engine and a deal was done sometime late may/june 2010.
My guess is the motor which would have required a complete rebuild has probably not been rebuilt and restored as yet and is therefore not in the car but is available to be fitted and therefore this car can be returned to a matching numbers car without me knowing the fate of the gearbox.

I have very good photos of the engine as it was in Canada.
This car had an early race history in Canada and I have some photos along with some history on the first owner.

The basics of the last comment of Mr Terry Mc Grath are correct and do match with all my earlier above comments.
The engine is still under full rebuild and the car is in my workshop awaiting to join its original engine.
The gearbox what came with the car when I bought it is the original and correct gearbox as the rear axle is.
This makes the above comments of the anonymous Mr Stuard Ward foolish.
Also it makes the anonymous Mr Pauls a liar with his comment of 2014/01/06 - 10:07:06.
To avoid such rubbish of fairy-tail tellers at this very nice intended website I suggest that the addresses of all incoming e-mails are visible for everyone.
Also at #660001 we have a lot similar anonymous bull shit and would be best when everybody can see were these comments come from.

With my personal thanks for the cooperation of Mr Terry Mc Grath.

My best to all real Jaguar enthusiasts.

whoever has the original engine could provide photos to prove it and that would be the end of this.

This car is in fact non matching numbers. The cylinder head has clearly been restamped at some point. Still a lovely car though

I wonder why there is more controversy, some of it quite unpleasant, over cars owned by Zwakman than over any others?

    2016-01-28 18:08:00 | Tom Zwakman writes:

Engine and cylinder head are without any doubt the original and not restamped as metioned by above Mr Derek.

This Derek have not seen the actual object so it's only jealous children behaving to state this sort of rubbish.

Best Jaguar greetings to all proper enthousiasts.
