Jaguar XK120 by Oblin 1951 RHD
For me as a Belgian classic car specialist it was a huge pleasure to be able to secure this famous and unique XK120 with "strong" Belgian history.
- Chassis n° 660751 also known as L.T.1 was one of the 3 chassis (LT1 - LT2 - LT3) destined to carry a lightweight body and reserve cars for the 1951 Le Mans.
- Went from the Jaguar factory straight through Belgian Jaguar importer Mme. Bourgeois to Martial Oblin coachbuilder in Brussels.
- 2-nd in class in the 1951 Liège-Rome-Liège with Jacques Herzet - Georges Baudouin team.
- Tour de France 1952 with Jacques Herzet - Lucien Bianchi team.
- Alpine Rally 1952: 3-rd in class
- Monte Carlo Rally 1952: 3-rd in class.
- Lyon - Charbonnières 1952
- Brussels Motorshow 1952
- Louis Vuitton Classic Parc de Bagatelle Paris 2000
- Pebble Beach Concours - California USA - 2001
It was evenso an honour to place this fabulous XK in the Jaguar collection of one of my very loyal customers.

I wish people would take the trouble to put captions on these interesting 'period' photos.

Bob Kerr of Scotland acquired this car in 1976 when it was in a very sorry state of repair and there are two photos in the "XK Bulletin January 1977"
Also he gave a lengthy write-up of the problems with the car in the "XK Bulletin-March 1977". Amongst other things he mentions special seats and velvet headcloth all in royal blue. The cylinder head is all that remains of the original engine apart from a boxful of bottom end bits."
