Ebay item at above date.
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1951-Jaguar-XK120-OTS-/122262249242
Asking £129,995, seller Yorkshire Classic & Sports Cars.
Sellers description:
1951 Jaguar XK120 OTS
Matching numbers, factory RHD, factory colours
Just in available soon
We are very pleased to offer to the market this rare genuine early RHD XK120 OTS with the important all matching numbers.
Finished in its original colours, Silver grey with Red leather interior
Presenting very nicely with beautiful patinated paint and interior, this car has never been restored , we estimate it was painted around 15 years ago, it is not a concourse car but a daily user.
Sold new by French importer Delecroix in early 1951 to a British wealthy man living in Nice, Côte d'Azur.
It has been through a few collectors hands since.
This well advised and esthete man ordered the car with the famous Robergel wire wheels, this allows you to keep the original and so beautiful rear spats even with wire wheels, not possible with central Rudge hubs.
A very rare option in the day and make this XK120 look absolutely stunning and unique.
A completely correct car and matching in everyway as confirmed by the Jaguar heritage certificate
Original early studless engine still with its original head.
Original gearbox, rear axle, frame and body.
A great opportunity to get a rare early RHD XK 120 with genuine matching number.
Currently being prepared for sale and going through the UK registration process
The pre sales preparation on this XK120 will include but not exclusive to:
- Complete re-wire and 12v conversion
- Complete full flow stainless classfabs exhaust and manifold system
- Mechanical overhaul to include engine tune
- New radiator
- Complete set of fuel line
- Complete set of water hoses
- High torque starter motor
- Alternator conversion
- New Kenlowe fan
- New tyres to new owners specification (unless fitted prior to sale)
- New MOT & clean bill of health
If you would like to be involved in the re-commissioning of this fabulous XK120 to your specification then we welcome a purchase prior to completion.
It will be supplied on the button and ready for next years summer jaunts, you will not find a more original XK120 OTS that's as correct and as stunning as this one.
