Estimate: £15,000 - £25,000
Registration Number: TBA
Chassis Number: 660580

This Fabulous XK120 Roadster was supplied new in 1951 through W H Shimmin & Co , Douglas , Isle of man. The first owner was Mr J D Scott, the car was originally registered NMN 22. Believed to be the first XK120 sold on the Isle of Man, the son of Mr Shimmin, the supplying dealer, actually recalls riding in the car as a boy. The heritage certificate confirms the car was originally delivered in Silver, over red with a gunmetal interior. According to the vendor, this XK left the island in 1954 when it was put into long term storage.

Chassis 660580 is believed to have been purchased by the well-known collector Alan Browne in 1993, who acquired the car from a dealer in Roxwell, Chelmsford. Stored for many years, Browne took the car as payment for a debt and had every intention of restoring it back to its former glory.

Discovered ripe for restoration to its former glory, there is no doubt this early XK120 stands as a true testament to the original design and concept as available in 1951. Highly original, and unmolested there will not be a more significant 51' XK120 available anywhere in this condition.

Do not miss your opportunity in inherit an early right hand drive XK120. Offered for sale on a bill of sale, chassis 660580 allows its new owner a very real chance to build a very early car.
