Came across some information on this car today including a copy of the original log book showing the first owner as Thomas Sunter, and subsequent owners being Allan Ensoll and Keith Schellenberg who I believe raced the car probably throughout the 1950s

Spotted being driven on the public roads on 18th October 2012 near Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Cleveland/North Yorkshire

Tommy Sunter appeared first time out at Redcar sand races in an XK120 (so probably this car). He won convincingly. However in the unlimited capacity race he was outgunned by a vintage Bentley driven by none other than Keith Schellenberg. Sunter was from Northallerton, Sunter Bros was I think a haulage firm.

I have no references for this info - it's from memory as I was at that sand race meeting.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
