Auction description:
Sale 17260 - Collectors Motor Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia, 12 Sep 2009
Beaulieu Autojumble, National Motor Museum
Lot No: 414
1950 Jaguar XK120 Roadster
Registration no. RVX 700
Chassis no. 660279
Engine no. A9791-7

Dating from 1950, this XK120 is a very early steel-bodied example, the numbering sequence of right-hand drive chassis having commenced with ‘660059’. The car previously was fitted with engine number ‘W2912-7’ but ‘A9791-7’ is currently installed. Previously owned by one Ruby Berry of Glastonbury in 1960 and next (from 1966) by Philip Loveless of Southover, Wells, the car was purchased locally by Barry in 1983 and is believed complete. Offered in need of restoration and sold strictly as viewed, it comes with old-style continuation logbook and Swansea V5. No reserve.

Sold for £32,200 inclusive of Buyer's Premium
