I am son of Jack Harold Robinson & would be interested in gathering some information about his haydays in motor racing. The only memory i have of the car is when Dad sold it whilst we were living at La Perouse in the 1960s. The only memory i have of this era is one day when we went to a motor festive at Oran Park in the late 60s watching one of Dads closest friends race, Otto Stone. And so many people coming up & saying to Dad, "Jack, if only you had the money behind you to keep racing".
Dad was of the understanding that the car was sold to an enthusiast & wrecked, resold to another Jaguar enthusiast who has since restored the vehicle.
Any information of anything would be much appreciated..

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
