I owned 660142 from 1976 to late 1978 (or early 1979). I remember we had the car for the 30th anniversary XK 120 Concours at Vaulcluse House in Sydney and foolishly I did not enter the contest as we would have received an commemorative plaque for the vehicle. I bought the car from the previous owner in Werris Creek in country New South Wales and remember hitchhiking to Werris Creek and driving the car back to Sydney. Interesting hitchhiking with enough tools to effect a repair if needed .. the car made the trip with no problems. We used the car as a daily drive and unfortunatley we had more money in the car than we did in the bank so 'Agatha' had to go. She was purchased by Peter Hitchen (sorry if the spelling is not right Peter, but the record of the transaction is long gone). I still have the original Operators handbook if the current owner would like it, it's a bit tatty but it's available to the latest custodian of 660142.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
