Extract from the Elmgreen/McGrath bible:
Despatched 16 August 1950 to Brylaws, Melbourne and sold new on 28 November
1950 to John Calvert of Weering, Vic who raced it during 1951-53 with the
assistance of the tuning wizard Harry Firth at Templestowe, Rob Roy, Bathurst
(including the 1952 Australian Grand Prix), Ballarat and Fisherman's Bend.
During this time it recorded a 16.84s standing quarter and was at least once
raced by Harry Firth. Passed to Graeme Nicholson of Surrey Hills, Vic in
1954. Sold via Owen Bailey to Ken Richardson Car Sales in Queensland.
Nothing further known until late 1960s when it was owned by Mr. Smith in
Albury, NSW, (still with Queensland number plates) and then by W. Jones also
of Albury. Acquired from him in 1968 by Norris Saunders of Nathalia in
reasonable condition and sold in 1978 to the present owner who has restored
it.
