Translation of the Portuguese entry above:

In 1951, João Lacerda entered the Second International Circuit of Porto (Portuguese Grand Prix) with a Jaguar XK120 (# 660130) exemplary prepared for racing. However, the car crashed during practice due to a brake failure and could not be repaired in time for the Grand Prix, which took place on Sunday 17 June. Moreover, this was a "dark" weekend for the Jaguar, as none of the XK120s in the race - manned by Duncan Hamilton, George Wickens and Tommy Wisdon - finished the race.

Casimiro de Oliveira in Ferrari F340 (# 0082A) would be the big winner of the afternoon, followed by Vittorio Marzotto in Ferrari 212 Export. Giovanni Bracco, in Ferrari F340, would be the author of the fastest lap of the circuit that was then 7.775 km long, averaging 131,532 km / h.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
