This car has a very interesting early history. when owned by Derek Bovet White who took delivery at the Jaguar factory on 5th June 1950. Original colour was Birch Grey with red trim and the UK registration number JVC 621, although it was an export car. White competed at the Brighton Speed Trials in 1950 before taking the car to Malaya. Colour of the car was changed to black. He competed frequently there and in 1952 he won the Johore Grand Prix. The Malaysian registration was BA 7641 He returned to England in 1954 with the car and sold it in 1961. There is a 9 page article re the car in Jaguar World magazine May/June 1995.

the more interesting aspect is "where is it now" I believe it might survive somewhere Bovett-White having sold it in 1961 in Singapore possibly to an Australia.
This will be one of the great finds

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
