As is well-known Biondetti raced this car in Italy in 1950. The original colour was red and it was fitted with a kph speedometer.
However, there is a photo in the British "Motor" magazine of 12th July 1950 of a white XK120, left-hand drive, bearing the JWK 650 registration number taking part in a concours d'elegance at Eastbourne England in June 1950.

Presumably Biondetti's car was registered before export so how did the JWK 650 registration come to be on the car in England at the same time?

The Biondetti car (in parts?) returned to England in 1953 to the factory and was then sold to Ron Heegan and then Peter Jaques until being bought by Alec Harvey-Bailey in July 1957 (according to a copy letter I have, written by Harvey-Bailey in October 1965 to Andrew Whyte.)
