Car listed as sold at:
www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1959-jaguar-xk150s-roadster-c-9123.htm
Seller's description:
This extremely desirable and rare 1959 Jaguar XK150S Roadster was purchased by the previous owner in 1969. The car was briefly driven during his college years and then tucked away until the mid-1990s when it received a partial restoration. Eventually in 2015 the car was sent for a complete restoration, however, the previous owner ultimately lost the desire to complete the project. There was over $170,000 invested in the project which includes over $133,000 in service documentation. The Jaguar has matching numbers, however, the block has been replaced and comes largely complete with a new interior kit, wiring harness, all original chrome that was re-chromed in 2017, rebuilt engine and head, installed and tuned suspension, steering column, and exhaust system. A true example of one man's loss and another man's gain. This is an extremely rare opportunity as the odds of acquiring an XK150S Roadster are few and far between especially a strong restoration project that's screaming to be completed. It was with the same owner for 50 years and definitely an opportunity not to be missed.
