This XK150 started life as a fixed head coupe but was professionally converted to a drophead coupe some time prior to the present owner buying the car in 1989. He then started a complete professional rebuild of the car which was finished in 1994.
It has only completed 3000 miles since the restoration which included a total body restoration and respray, a complete engine overhaul with a cylinder rebore, new pistons and rings, a new clutch and various reconditioned parts including the gearbox. It was re-wired, got new lights and most chrome was renewed, a new interior and hood, new wheels, tyres and an exhaust.
The owner informs us that it is still in very good condition throughout and when hot the engine runs at 50psi and at 75 degrees 'C'. He has used the car at various Jaguar Drivers Club events and on the Norwich Union run and this is tremendous value who else will know its been converted besides you!

Lot 163 - 1959 Jaguar XK150
Estimate: £35,000 - £45,000
Registration Number: 835 UMC
Chassis Number: 824695D/N
This delightful XK150 was subject to much work in the late 80's. Photographs in the cars file depict an indepth restoration. It was at this time that the Coupe bodywork was modified to a drop head body style and finished in red with a matching tan interior.
The quality of the work carried out was clearly very high, 835 UMC is described by the vendor to be bodily, still in good condition. Offered with a history file containing a variety of bills and receipts, copy original buff log book , old MoT's and various photos, 835 UMC offers the opportunity of open top XK motoring at a fraction of the cost of an original drop head coupe.

This beautiful XK150 Drophead Coupe is finished in red with cream leather interior. The car was subject to considerable expenditure during the late 1980s, which is substantiated by photographs in the history file. During the restoration the coupe bodywork was skilfully adapted to drophead specification and painted in its current colour combination. The history file contains a number of bills and receipts for work carried out, there are also old MoT test certificates and a copy of the car's original buff log book which details the very first owners of this particular car.
835 UMC is a highly useable XK150, offering superb value for money and providing sumptuous open top motoring with effortless grand touring capabilities.
